OTA System Report For June 4, 2009 8:30 AM
Previous 24 hours:
1) All hardware nominal, but FGS Thermal E442 – Aft F/G Panel is hitting YLW Hi
2) The 4 previous Acquisitions that were pending ETR telemetry were successful
3) There were 5 successful Acquisitions, and 1 TRANS Mode Observation with
FGS 2 to support the AMA move.
4) 1 GSACQ was a single star (FGS 3) with an FGS 1 Astrometry Observation.
(Need ETR, but many FLs in the Astrometry).
5) There are 2 new Acquisitions pending ETR telemetry.
6) HSTAR 11861 has been resolved (see following charts).
7) There were 2 new Acquisitions with the FGS 3 problem Guide Star:
• 155:01:30 – FL after final Resume Search
• 155:08:35 – FL with no problem
Up-coming 24 hours:
1) 6 GSACQs (Guide star pairs) and 3 Reacquisitions are planned over the next
24 hours.
2) AMA move #2 is also planned.
OTA System Report For June 4, 2009 8:30 AM
• The Guide Star (#S7FE001180) has a GSC2 magnitude
of 13.538, in the first acquisition the magnitude
determined is 14.04, in the second acquisition the
magnitude determined is 14.004 . The star is 0.45
magnitudes dimmer, although close to the GSC2 1
sigma error, this value is approximately 1.5 1 sigma.
The star has been matched to a single star. One can
only assume it is dimmer than suspected and I
recommend not using this star in the future. Naturally it
will be used several more times this week, quite possible
some of these acquisitions may succeed.
