What is it?
 A naturally occurring
and necessary process
that warms the Earth.
Why is the greenhouse effect
necessary?
 The gases trap in heat that the Earth’s inhabitants
need to survive
 Without the greenhouse gases the Earth would be 86
degrees Fahrenheit cooler at all times.
Can it be a bad thing?
 Yes…
 Too many greenhouse gases can cause extra heat to be
trapped within the Earth’s atmosphere.
 This causes the Earth’s temperature to rise, which in
turn, affects many other things.
