Me and my wife live in Switzerland and will have the great opportunity in March to pick up a
brand new RV at the factory in Wakarusa, IN to drive it as test drivers to its future
Moturis/RV World rental station. ok, the rental station is only a three hour drive away
(Chicago, IL) but we will have three weeks and 2500 free miles to do ...so! Because it's early in
the year (cold), we're thinking of driving south first (Tennessee, North/South Carolina,
Georgia, Alabama, Florida).
Is there anyone who could give us some tips for some interesting routes, regions, POI's (musts,
nice to see), and nice campgrounds. we would appreciate every tip. We're glad that we can be
part time members of Good Sam Club during our stay.

Kurt is from Switzerland and will be test driving RVs in March. He's got 2500 miles
and three weeks to explore, so he's thinking about driving from Indiana to North
Carolina. Where are some great places in North Carolina for RV owners to stay and
explore? He's never been to NC before, so what are the things that he's just got to see
before he heads back home?

Kurt will be coming into NC from the mts of Tennessee or Virginia so a visit
to the Biltmore Estate and Winery would be outstanding. There are lovely mt
campgrounds in the area of Asheville. Then, take the Parkway to the Linville
area and v...isit Grandfather Mountain and Linville Gorge. Lovely
campgrounds here too. Then a must do is to drive across the entire state on 40
and go to the Outer Banks on the coast. Visit the Wright Brothers' Memorial
in Kitty Hawk, go to the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse and then get on the ferry
and go to Ocracoke and visit Blackbeard's stomping grounds. You will be
able to do all and drive back to Indiana. You will get the best of both worlds
in NC and drive from one end to the other.Mehr anzeigen

Alabama Travel Glad that you are looking to travel south to Alabama. I think you
will find some great points of interest. Your most likely route would be traveling
south of Interstate 65. In Alabama that would take you close to Huntsville, home of
the U.S. Space & Rocket Center - the largest space attraction in the world. Adjacent
to the Space & Rocket Center is the Huntsville Botantial Gardens.

Other sites in the Florence area include the Helen Keller Birthplace and Home in
Tuscumbbia. Helen Keller (June 27, 1880 – June 1, 1968) was an American author,
political activist, and lecturer. She was the first deafblind person to earn a... Bachelor
of Arts degree. The story of how Keller's teacher, Anne Sullivan, broke through the
isolation imposed by a near complete lack of language, allowing the girl to blossom
as she learned to communicate, has become widely known through the dramatic
depictions of the play and film The Miracle Worker.Mehr anzeigen

Birmingham is also home to the Barber Motorsports Museum - the world’s best
motorcycle collection, the museum now has over 1200 vintage and modern
motorcycles and racecars and the largest collection of Lotus cars as well as other
significant makes. The collection is the largest of its kind in the world. There are
approximately 600 of the 1200 motorcycles on display at any given time. These
