After retiring as a clinical chemist, she became a fulltime writer in 2006 and became intrigued
with the idea that Rashi, one of the greatest Jewish scholars ever, had no sons, only three
daughters. Slowly but surely, she began to research the family and the time in which they lived.

Founding Music Director of The Israel Pops Orchestra and The Milken Archive of American
Jewish Music, he is an internationally performed composer, an active choral and orchestral
conductor, and a frequent lecturer on the subject of Jewish music. He was recently honored as one
of the ten most influential Jewish music composers of our time.

Cady Kalian is the pseudonym for Irma Kalish who is recognized as one of television's most
talented comedy writers/producers and a pioneer in the industry, having been one of the first
women to write for television and produce a television series. She now has two novels under her belt.
