Year 2010 was dedicated to Fryderyk Chopin. To make our kindergarten children
more familiar with one of the greatest Pole – Fryderyk Chopin, teachers from
Kindergarten no. 1 in Wieliszew carried out lots of activities during which kids
could have known better his music and compositions. It wasn’t an easy
challenge because nowadays children prefer to listen loud, fast and dynamic
music. We base our activities on the motion, dance, singing and plastics. Every
teacher working in our kindergarten disposed accurate recordings and books
dedicated to Fryderyk Chopin. They could use it everyday.
Children were learning about life, works and creations of Chopin. They were
listening to his music quite often trying to illustrate it afterwards.
We organized two “small concerts” in our venue, together with musicians from
the Warsaw Musician Society during which children were listening live
Chopin’s music.
Children took a part in the international plastic competition - “Plastic inspiration
to the music of Fryderyk Chopin”. With a success one of our pupil’s won an
award. Our 6 years old children also took a part in the District Festival of
Songs “Singing Kindergarten” beautifully dancing to the Chopin’s music.
Trips to the Żelazowa Wola and Museum of F. Chopin in Warsaw fulfilled
information about our greatest composer – Fryderyk Chopin.
