What is a Learning Group?
• The ‘learning group’ concept is very concrete and
focused, in the sense that every participant
develops and implements an own project in his/her
centre.
• The Learning Group is used for inspiration,
guidance and feedback.
• The facilitator acts as trainer for the theoretical
parts and as consultant for the design of the
individual projects and the ongoing for the support
to the participants for the project implementation
via e-mail and phone
10
Aims of the Learning Group
• To assist participants in the practical
application of the ICF in the service
delivery processes of their organisations
• To provide participants with an in-depth
understanding of the role of ICF in working
with people with disabilities

Target Groups

Learning Group Activities
• To review existing research to identify whether or not
a Core Set already exists for the chosen group
• To analyse the case notes of a number of beneficiaries
from the target group from an ICF perspective to
identify the frequency with which certain elements of
the ICF recur.
• To produce a short report on the findings of these two
studies.
