Please do drop in Further information on paediatric audiology services Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare provide hearing services for babies and children. We aim to identify potential hearing losses as early as possible and offer diagnostic assessments and rehabilitation to determine the nature of the hearing loss. Our Paediatric Audiology services offer the latest, advanced hearing aids on the market to augment a hearing impaired child’s speech and language and communication and to minimise the adverse effect of hearing loss as soon as possible. The services we offer on the NHS do not include wireless or bluetooth accessories. We are now pleased to offer these accessories to anyone who needs them at a small cost that covers the product and the expert knowledge required to link these devices successfully to hearing aids. We recognise that these accessories can make a difference to children who often own electronic devices that often require headphones or earphones, which are not practical with the use of hearing aids. Wireless accessories compatible with the hearing aids we provide, can open up the world for our hearing impaired children when they want to use electronic devices e.g. iPod, MP3 players, handheld gaming devices, mobile phones, tablets, laptops, computers, TV etc. This form of advanced technology is fully compatible with the hearing aids provided by our NHS paediatric audiology service. Other hearing aid users (adults or children) can also avail this facility. Advantages of wireless accessories: Streams the sound from the electronic devices into the hearing aids, corrected for their hearing loss. Be able to listen in stereo and have the privacy when listening with these devices as do hearing children. Have hands-free and wireless function when using their mobile phones. Stream multiple electronic devices at any one time.
