Overview CiderMillPlayhouseseeksseveralpositionsinsupportof2016-17season,whichrunsyearroundbutalsohas opportunitiesforpartialyearandshow-by-showcontracts.Eachpositionrepresentsintegralteammembersaswe produceprofessionaltheatreundertheSmallProfessionalTheatre5annualcontractwithActorsEquity,aswellas anon-Equitysecondstageseriesandothereducationalprogramming.Theidealcandidatesaretrustworthyselfstarterswithstrongskillsintheareaslisted,possesstheabilitytoworkefficientlyasacollectiveaswellas independently,takedirectionwell,andarepassionatefordoingthejobwithexcellence,integrity,andasenseof professionalownership. ProductionManagerandTechnicalDirector:isresponsibleforsupervisingandmanagingallareasoftechnical theatreandproductionmanagement.MusthaveBFAorBAintechnicaltheatreandhaveprofessional-model experienceintechnicaltheatre.ThetimeofthePM/TDwillbesplitbetweendrafting,budgeting,purchasingof materialsandequipment,buildingontheshopfloor,andmanagementresponsibilitiesincludinghiring, supervision,andday-to-dayshopandtheatreoperations.TheTDwillleadallloadinandstrikesandisresponsible forsafetyinthesceneshopandtheatrespacefortheshopstaffandothercompanymembers.Inthispositionyou shouldexpecttoworknightsandweekends.Mustbeagoodcommunicatorandbeastrongleaderincludingthe abilitytoworkwithinbudgetandtimelineparameters.ThispositionmaybesplituptoaTechnicalDirectoronly andtheProductionManagementpositionmaybecombinedwithanotherpositionsupportingamajorareaof production.Pleaseapplyifinterestedineitheraspectofthisposition;itdoesnotneedtoremainacombined positionfortherightcandidates. HouseManager/CompanyManagerApprenticeship Theapprenticewillprovidesupportinallareasofgeneraltheatremanagement.Dutiesmayinclude,butarenot limitedto,housemanagement,companymanagement,boxofficesupport,socialandprintmediatasks,managing frontdeskandansweringphones,assistinginallday-to-dayoperationsoftheoffice,andtakingonadministrative projectsinallareasofthecompany.Thisapprenticeshipwillbedesignedtoallowforgrowthinareasofinterest. Requirements: Idealcandidatewillhaveadegreeintheatremanagement,experienceinaprofessionaltheatre,astrongdesireto pursueacareerinatheatreartsmanagementfield.
