President’s Report
My Thanks go to the many members who braved the conditions to attend the busy bee
held recently. As you can see by the photograph, the Theatre is looking sensational.
I am proud to announce that our Theatre is going to be on a new television program,
called The Green Room. This show is a life-style program catering to a wide and general
audience. Each episode features a community theatre, promotes up and coming
performances and discusses issues connected with productions currently in rehearsal.
The Green Room is shown on Access T.V. Channel 31. It’s 2007 seasons starts of in
September. They are going to film our Theatre on Saturday 12th May. As you now by
our history there is a big story to be told about Roleystone Theatre, so look out for this
episode of The Green Room.
Planning for our 75th anniversary is on its way, so if you have idea’s or wish to help
please contact me with your suggestions.
Don’t forget to book your tickets for the latest production The Club. Kim has assembled
a great cast for this show & the set is a marvel. George & Dianne, along with many
helpers have created a Board Room, which has to be seen, so please support the show
with your attendance.

Busy Bee – April 29th
What a full on day!! Rain Wind & Sun!! Zyg arrived for
9.30am followed by Rory @ 10am… not realising he
could have slept in a little longer!! They got well into the
garden.
Stephen, Paul, Daniel, Rory & Bree were sorting out
under the stage, whilst Jose got chain-sawing the trees
& branches and Sherrill, Jack & Kim Fletcher got busy
in the garden.
The inside work (We weren't stupid!!): We had Gerry
vacuuming, Malita, Henry, Peter, Gill, Maureen,
Barbara, Linda & myself cleaning all what we could get
into!
We managed to fill two 6 cubic metre skips, and still the
work was not finished, so it was decided to organise
another skip for the following Saturday (5.5.07) to
which we hope (!!) should be clear and cleaner in all
areas of the Theatre!
19 helpers in all arrived by 2pm and got well underway,
I was very impressed, you just can't believe the rubbish
that collects over the years!!
After the planting of the George Webb Rose, we all
ventured inside for Chicken & Salad!! What a well
deserved treat, and thanks to all!!.
By 7pm the Theatre was left to breathe!!!
A Big thankyou to all the helpers!!!

George Webb Rose – ‘Remember Me’
On Sunday the 29th April, the Theatre held a very special service to honor the memory of
one of its past members George Webb. George & Mary joined the Theatre in the 70’s,
being involved in lots of productions. George was famous for looking after the Box office
which proudly bear’s his name. He also appeared on stage, built sets, operated lights
amongst many other things.
A special rose aptly named Remember Me was planted in the remembrance garden to
honor his memory. Mary Webb along with son Andy planted the rose with various
members present.
The Theatre was more than proud to
do this in George’s memory.

The Wedding of
Bree Hartley & Daniel Ramsell
Sunday the 15th of April 2007
Well, what a day we had!! The weather was not quite what we had in mind and at
the last moment we changed the venue for the ceremony from Araluen to the
Theatre… and then the Community Church across the road.
Thank you so much to everyone who ‘mucked in’ to help make
our day special despite the weather. There was a feeling of true
community that warmed our hearts.
We had a lovely honeymoon in Penang,
Malaysia, and were over joyed that it
did not rain at all whilst we were
there!
Thank you again to everyone for their
kind wishes and support.
Bree and Daniel
If you have any photos from the wedding
could you please pass them along to us!
