February Half Term on Glorious South Bank Spend time with the family at South Bank this half term with an action packed programme of magical experiences, interactive learning and exciting discovery to keep you busy all day long. // MAGICAL EXPERIENCES A trip to the BFI IMAX is sure to bring out the Spielberg in your family, and this half term IMAX are showing To The Arctic 3D; a snowy adventure to the northern lands with never-before-seen footage from the perspective of a mother polar bear and her cubs as they navigate the icy wilderness they call home. Add another dimension to your visit to the EDF London Eye with their new 4D experience, a groundbreaking 3D film with in theatre effects such as wind, bubbles, and mist. // INTERACTIVE LEARNING Drop into Florence Nightingale Museum for a Letter Writing Workshop (21 February) to learn Victorian handwriting and learn how to write the perfect letter. For the best filmmaking experience this side of the Atlantic, take your kids of the half term Fantasy School at BFI Southbank, featuring filmmaking workshops, and films to suit all ages including Dragon Slayers and Fantastic Fantasy Animation. // EXCITING DISCOVERY Head to Southbank Centre’s Imagine Children’s Festival for talks, shows and storytelling with The Big Sing, Anthony Horrowitz and Cath Cassidy, Peter Rabbit puppet shows and Where’s Spot. Sneek a Peek Backstage at National Theatre, handle props from some of the productions, experience how all of the backstage area works, and even try on some of the costumes such as Mr Toad’s prison uniform from Wind In The Willows.
