Camilla Blunden from Cornwall, has a passionate interest in theatre in this changing
world and the way it can connect with contemporary audience in a live space. For over
30 years this has driven her work in professional theatre as an actor, director, creator
and mentor involved in many exciting projects working with a great variety of artists and
Companies and styles of performance from classic to contemporary, to children’s
theatre, site specific performances and new work. She has toured nationally as an actor
and directed shows to tour with Women On A Shoestring Theatre Company (eg The
Slippery Slope, Girls of the Reel, At the Crossroads). She is a critics circle and Green Room
Award Winner. Recent directing includes To Silence - Chekova and Breathing Corpses
for The Street Theatre, Farmer Will Swap Combine Harvester for Wife for a tour in the
Cooma Region. In 2010 she trained volunteers and role played in Refugee Realities an
outdoor simulation for Oxfam in conjunction with the Street Theatre. She is at present in
The Hive program at The Street working on developing a one woman piece.
Liliana Bogatko migrated from Poland to Australia in 1982. She is an actor, theatre
director and drama tutor. She has worked widely in Canberra with different theatre
companies. She was last seen in a Cardboard Charlie production of Daniel Keen plays for
the Multicultural Fringe Festival in 2006. She is passionate about theatre in any form or
style and is fond of innovative ideas. Liliana is also a Canberra based film maker
something she came to later in life. She completed an Advanced Diploma of Media
Production in 2005 at the Canberra Institute of Technology. Her films are shot from a
uniquely theatrical perspective, reflecting her theatre background. Her latest film
Penguins and Polar Bears was screened at the 2010 Heart of Gold International Film
Festival.
Raoul Craemer grew up in Germany and India and lived in England for 11 years where
he studied economics at Oxford University and later acting at ArtsEd London (funded by
a UK Dance and Drama Award). Raoul migrated to Australia with his young family in
2003. His first project in Canberra was Acting Artaud (Shadow House Pits). As part of the
Street Theatre’s ensemble he performed in Dario Fo’s Mistero Buffo during 2004. Other
projects have included Vidooshaka – The Indian Clown (co-created with David Finnigan National Multicultural Festival Fringe) The Role Model, Ubi Roi, Oceans All Boiled Into
Sky, The Wicked Voice, Wuthering Heights, Widow Bird, Our Shadows Only Pass Once
and in Noonee Doronila’s Manila Take Away. He is at present in The Hive program at
The Street working on developing a one man piece.
Maria-Lourdes (Noonee) Doronila has worked in community and professional/amateur
theatre for over 13 years as a director, writer, producer, facilitator and actor. She
received training in community theatre work from the Philippines Educational Theatre
Association. Her creative work reflects her values: working in partnerships with the
Filipino Community and the wider Australian community to express the contemporary
nature of multiculturalism. She established the Tugpindulayaw Theatre Company to
promote community theatre work reflecting the Filipino Australian stories. Her creative
development work, directing and production work includes Silangan, Bayan Ko (My
Country), Sino Ka Ba Jose Rizal? (Who is Jose Rizal?), Liham (Letters), Kera Putih
(Observing Director) Girl Caught in Between, Southwind Down Under, Manila Takeaway,
The Vagina Monologues and Spank. She has been part of the Hive Program at The Street
Theatre developing her play Sampaguita.
