MARK ETING AUTOMATION
The Need
Randstad is a $22.9 billion global provider of human resource services, representing the third largest staffing
organization in the United States. With more than 29,000 employees located across 4,500 branch
locations, the corporate office constantly ordered communication materials that were requested by their
field representatives. Consequently, corporate staff was often bogged down with a number of routine
ordering tasks that sometimes delayed products getting out to the field. Not only was the ordering process
overwhelming, but managing different types of products as part of an order seemed daunting as well.
With so many products requested by various branch locations, the company desired to launch a platform
that would allow field offices to easily access approved materials without requiring corporate to manually
manage the entire process.
Ultimately, Randstad wanted a solution that would:
1. Eliminate the manual process of creating and ordering key marketing
assets for multiple locations
2. Allow field representatives to easily go online and order
approved materials
3. Automate the review and approval process for all collateral

The Solution
Communicorp proposed a customized marketing automation solution for
Randstad that would meet the company’s core objectives for systemizing
the ordering process of their marketing assets. After developing and testing
a solution, Communicorp officially launched the Randstad bluePrint portal,
delivering a secure platform for all of Randstad’s U.S. based employees to
access a variety of marketing collateral including stationery, signage, printed
marketing materials and incentive items.

The platform featured three key components:
1. O nline Shopping. The bluePrint portal delivered an online shopping experience
for field employees to easily browse products by category and select the items
they want to use in their local markets.
2. Personalization. The portal allowed employees to easily customize and personalize
collateral with information like their branch location and local website address, as
well as order personalized promotional products.
3. e-Commerce. The platform provided an online shopping cart that calculated the
final cost of all items ordered and processed the shipping logistics once the order
was placed.
Ultimately, the Randstad bluePrint portal allowed the company to realize tremendous
operational efficiencies, while empowering their field team to order customized
marketing tools that were all protected under the company’s brand.
The Results
Over 4,500 Randstad branch locations have now been able to successfully use and access the site to
facilitate their marketing needs. In addition, the portal delivers a wide range of marketing tools for the
field with more than 1,000 items available to access and order, while also effectively protecting the
company’s brand. Orders are now shipped when promised and the quality of materials is exceeding
Randstad’s expectations.
Randstad is also enjoying the ability to quickly and easily update the portal to ensure new Federal
Employment Laws remain current. Likewise, the company has realized a significant decrease in troubleshooting calls and emails to their customer service and marketing departments.
As a result of these accomplishments, Randstad now considers Communicorp to be a trusted and preferred
partner. Even with these great results, Communicorp continues to enhance the user experience and
expand the platform functionality for Randstad and its employees.
