PETERSON TAKES THE LEAD IN HEALTHCARE TECHNOLOGY
Patient Portal Launched April 1st
[Kerrville, Texas] – Peterson Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce the offering of a
new patient portal. Beginning April 1st, this interactive web portal empower patients and their
families to take a more active role in their care by providing easy, secure access to their health
information and online communication with staff.
Peterson’s Patient Portal, My.prmc.info, offer patients instant access to the past three years of
health information, including laboratory and radiology results, medications, allergies,
demographic information, visit history, discharge/aftercare information, and more. All patients
admitted to Peterson Regional Medical Center, the Emergency Department, or receiving services
at our Ambulatory Care Center can view their medical history and medical information from the
portal.
Another portal feature allows patients to schedule and track their appointments online. Patients
can request appointments for specific timeframes, add comments and contact preferences, and
receive an email confirmation once an appointment is scheduled. A central appointment page
displays their list of scheduled and pending appointments. The portal also saves patients time by
allowing them to pre-register for appointments online and submit updates to their demographic
and contact information prior to their visits.
An added phase, coming soon, will allow patients access to their billing statements and
outstanding balances and submit electronic payments. In addition to handling their own care,
parents and health care proxies with authorized consent will appreciate the ability to access the
records of those individuals for whom they manage care.
Portal users are encouraged to log back in/refresh the page frequently as new updates, results, or
notifications are added to their page often, especially upon new visits or appointments to PRMC
or the Ambulatory Care Center.
Peterson Regional Medical Center encourages all of their patients to enroll in the portal, as it
presents a valuable opportunity for patients and their families to actively participate in their care,
which contributes to better health.
To get started, patients will need to have their medical record number, last four social security
numbers, and an email address ready. The medical record number, which starts with an M and
has 6 numbers after the M (example M123456) can be found on a hospital invoice or receipt, a
patient ID bracelet, discharge instructions, or a variety of other reports from the hospital. If you
cannot find this medical record number, which must be entered to set up an account in the patient
portal, contact us at (830)258-7373.
