POSITION SUMMARY: Learn about all aspects of marketing communications and public relations as a part
of a small, hands-on marketing department. Didion’s marketing intern will gain a comprehensive
understanding of the food, feed and fuel industries from a family-owned company that has a passion for
corn. This is a full-time, paid summer internship, but candidates are encouraged to begin work part time
during the spring semester.
RESPONSIBILITIES: This internship will provide opportunities in the following areas of marketing:






Public relations
Trade show prep
Event planning
Blog and website management
Social media
Internal marketing





Email marketing
Market research
Sales support
Collateral design
Intern project - designed using the intern’s
learning objectives
REQUIREMENTS: To qualify for this position, an individual must possess any combination of experience
and education that would likely produce the desired job outcomes. Specific requirements include:









Pursuing a B.A. or B.S. in marketing, communications or related field
Agricultural and/or food science experience preferred
Eager to learn about grain procurement, corn milling and the ethanol industry
Outstanding writing and communication skills
Positive and self-motivated
Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
Flexibility to work in Johnson Creek or Cambria
Ability to manage multiple projects at once
Adobe Creative Suite experience preferred
