Canadian Mountain Holidays - JOB DESCRIPTION - Position Title: Business Development and Events Manager Business Unit: Marketing Position Reports to: Director of Marketing & Retail Positions Reporting to this Role: 0 Location: Banff COMPANY OVERVIEW With 48+ years of experience Canadian Mountain Holidays (CMH) has evolved into the world’s largest Heli-Skiing and Heli-Hiking company, operating 10 lodges in the winter and 2 in the summer throughout British Columbia, Canada. The business’s central office is located in Banff, Alberta Canada. Fortress is a leading global alternative asset manager founded in 1998 and headquartered in New York. ___________________________________________________________________________________ POSITION OVERVIEW Responsible for developing partnerships and managing events and drive increased business volume. Focus will be on creating a worldwide event strategy that is rooted in attracting a new base of customers for CMH as well as developing strategic marketing and retail partnerships. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY Develop a worldwide event strategy that is focused on attracting new customers Create strategic marketing and retail partnerships Work with marketing team to leverage extensive marketing automation technology to target new customers through collaboration with the marketing team Provide event leads to sales reps and agents Develop the CMH sponsorship strategy and attract new partners Lead the CMH 50th Anniversary project and activities in conjunction with marketing team Seek out and analyze new business development opportunities Work with the Product Manager and Pricing Analyst to assess new opportunities EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor of Business Administration or Bachelor of Commerce Degree Experience: Minimum 5 years of business development and events experience Significant (6+ years) Sales, Marketing and Business Development experience Strong background in event management and execution Previous sales or retail experience would be an asset Ski industry or luxury travel field preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS Knowledge: Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel and Word Familiarity with the ski industry and luxury travel business Working knowledge of SalesForce.com and additional marketing automation technology Skills & Abilities: Proven ability to develop, leverage and maintain complex partnerships Successful at managing and prioritizing a wide-range of complex projects A team player with a track record of collaborating with individuals to achieve a team result Ability to create and analyze pro-forma business projections would be an asset This is fulltime position in our Banff Office.
