Alt-azimuth mount have controls to
point the telescope view vertically in
attitude, and horizontally in azimuth.
They are commonly used for terrestrial
vi ewing an d c an be use d f or
astronomical viewing by tracking with the controls or
nudging the tube. The advantages of an alt-Azimuth mounts
are compactness, stability and lightweight.
A simple elegant from of an alt-azimuth
mount made to carry a Newtonian reflector
was popularized by John Dobson in the late
1970's. The Dobsonian mounted telescope
is popular among amateur astronomers and
telescope makers because of its simplicity
and low cost. In its simplest form, the
Dobsonian mount consist of a box itself is

telescope has Newtonian Parabolic as its

EQUATORIAL MOUNT
The equatorial mount is the most versatile
telescope platform ever designed. Without
question it is the most popular and utilized
mounting system favored by Amateur
astronomer today worldwide. The elegant
appointed equatorial bodies are cast from
virgin aluminum and powder coated in
white or black. Setting circles are provided in both RA and Dec. Axis the
counter-weight shaft is from solid
stainless steel. The provided counterweights are cast iron,
powder coated black.
