The Department of Internal Medicine at Saint
Francis is the only AAHA-Accredited Referral
service in South Jersey*, earning a 98% in the
category of patient care (internal medicine) on
our most recent evaluation by the American
Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).
The Department of Internal Medicine is available
by appointment for evaluation of patients in need
of specialty care.
Disease categories commonly handled by the
Internal Medicine Department include: nephrology/
urology, hepatology/gastroenterology, endocrinology, pulmonology, hematology, immunology, and
infectious diseases. Internal Medicine specialists
are especially skilled in the management of
patients who have complicated, undifferentiated
or multi-system disease processes.
