AllTexasuniversitiesareinvitedtoparticipateinaspecialstudentpostercontestatthisyear’s
InternationalSymposiumforTestingandFailureAnalysis(ISTFA).ISTFAisthepremier
microelectronics/semiconductorfailureanalysisconferenceinNorthAmerica,andwillbeheldinFort
Worth,Texas,attheFortWorthConventionCenterfromNovember6-10.
TheLocalStudentPosterSessionisanewprogramintendedtofosterexchangesbetweentheacademic
worldandtheFailureAnalysisengineeringcommunity.ItwilltakeplaceonWednesday,November9th
from1:30to3:30PM,andthedeadlineforstudentstosubmittheirabstractisMonday,September26th.
Studentauthorsareencouragedtosubmittheirabstractsonanytopicstronglyrelatedtoelectrical,
physicaldiagnosis,microscopy,oranalysisofmicroelectronic/semiconductorornanoscalecircuits,
systems,anddevices.Studentauthorsofselectedpaperswillbegivencomplementaryaccesstoafull
dayoftheconferencetechnicalsymposiumincludingMicroscopyand3DDevicessessions,andthe
paneldiscussionon“NextgenerationofFAengineer”.Freelunchwillbeprovidedattheequipment
expohallwhichbringstogetherthelargestnumberofcompaniesprovidingfailureanalysistoolsand
servicesinthecountry.
PosterswillbeselectedbasedontechnologicalinnovationandrelevancetotheFailureAnalysisfield.
