Product Brief Highlights • Major worldwide producer of image sensor technology with more than 25 years of experience. • Many of the Toshiba image sensors utilize advanced technologies such as Backside Illumination (BSI), High Dynamic Range (HDR) and Color Noise Reduction (CNR) for better image quality and truer colors. • Utilizes a proprietary square-pixel design that enables exceptionally high-quality images with low-power consumption. • Offers a wide range of sensors from VGA to 20-megapixels (MP). • Makes ongoing investments in capacity and its robust supply chain is a result of tight procurement relationships and experience in designing, developing and manufacturing image sensors. T4KA7 20-Megapixel CMOS Image Sensor Description The Toshiba T4KA7 is a 20-megapixel (MP) 1.12-micron BSI pixel CMOS image sensor for high-end mobile handsets and smartphones. With an optical format of 1/2.4 inch, the T4KA7 sensor enables development of camera modules with a zheight of 6 mm or less to meet consumer demand for thinner and lighter mobile devices. The T4KA7 uses high-speed circuitry to deliver frame rates of 22 fps at full-resolution capture. The sensor features BSI and advanced digital zoom capability that removes discernable image deterioration even when zooming in very close on a subject. This sensor expands the Toshiba 1.12-micron family of 8 MP and 13 MP sensors, which enable low-power, high-performance image capture and video recording.
