Chlorhexidine 0.12% oral rinse for dogs & cats
Effective Oral Antiseptic Agent
Imrex BreathaLyser® Oral Rinse contains: Chlorhexidine digluconate, an effective agent to prevent
the growth of micro-organisms associated with gingivitis and/or other mouth, tongue and gum diseases.
How to incorporate BreathaLyser® Oral Rinse (0.12% chlorhexidine) into your practice:
• Send home with your pet owner prior to an upcoming dental
procedure.
• Use as an oral lavage during the dental procedure to irrigate
the mouth and protect veterinary staff from aerosolized
bacteria*.
• Send home with your pet owner for two weeks of posttreatment therapy.
• Transition the pet to a product with a lower concentration of
chlorhexidine for ongoing preventative maintenance, such as
BreathaLyser® Toothpaste, Gel or Water Additive.

solution and carefully brush the animal’s teeth in a
gentle circular motion. Remoisten applicator as
needed. Do not brush for more than 2 minutes.
• For use as a rinse, place the spout inside the
cheek, gently squeeze the bottle to place a small
amount (2 to 4 mL) between the cheek and the
gums. Massage for 30 seconds to 2 minutes.
Repeat on opposite side.
• Best overall oral health results when transitioned to
BreathaLyser® Toothpaste, BreathaLyser® Gel or
BreathaLyser® Water Additive for ongoing
prevention.
