Dear colleagues, friends and guests,

After Bari, Alexandria and Tunis, Zagreb has been chosen as the venue for
the 4th Mediterranean Conference on Oncology, and the University Hospital
for Tumors has been entrusted with the honourable, yet responsible task of
organising this important meeting to be hold in the Westin Hotel from 1618 October 2006 under the auspices of the Croatian Parliament, Ministry of
Health and Social Welfare of the Republic of Croatia, Ministry of Science,
Education and Sports of the Republic of Croatia, Zagreb University School
of Medicine, Croatian Medical Association, Zagreb City Government and City
Department of Health, Labour, Social Welfare and Veterans.
The Mediterranean Oncology Society has unanimously decided that breast
cancer is to be the topic of this year’s Conference, joining the awareness
campaign for breast cancer for its increasing incidence among female
population of the Mediterranean region and worldwide, too.
This year’s event will feature 90 internationally recognised speakers and
chairmen from 13 Mediterranean countries covering various aspects of their
speciality and sharing with us all their vast experience in the field.
Besides our time together spent in productive activities, there will also be time
for casual socialising and time to enjoy of our Croatian capital.
