NEW POSITION POSTING MANAGER, DELIVERY MANAGEMENT OFFICE (DMO) This is an exciting opportunity to join the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer as Manager, Delivery Management Office (DMO). Located in downtown Toronto, this new position in the Finance and Corporate Services Division is responsible for ensuring the Partnership maintains the secure technical, operational, infrastructure and day-to-day capabilities necessary to achieve its cancer control outcomes within budget. Reporting to the Director, Finance and Administration, the Manager, Delivery Management Office (DMO) is responsible for managing the organization’s approach to the successful delivery of programs that encompass multiple projects – most of which are with pan-Canadian partners but some which are more internal to the Partnership. The Manager also ensures that projects are aligned to outcomes by constantly monitoring performance against targets and organizational strategic objectives. Relationship management is key for the DMO to be seen as a trusted partner with program areas while maintaining a monitoring and measuring role from an outcome alignment perspective. Providing leadership and mentoring a team of 8 – 10 Delivery Managers in the application of accepted project management processes and procedures adapted to the Partnership’s delivery model, the Manager also identifies potential process improvement opportunities and participates in the development of new processes that support elements of project, contract and performance management. The Manager is accountable for providing enterprise level reporting of program/project deliverables against quality, timeliness, and cost as well as progress towards longer term logic model cancer control outcomes. Qualifications University degree preferably in business from a recognized institution and PMP designation or equivalent Minimum 8 years delivery and staff management experience with a minimum of 5 years leading a delivery or project management office; experience in public service or healthcare a strong asset A proven team leader who demonstrates excellent leadership and management skills including staff performance management and development Demonstrated experience in developing, documenting and implementing changes in processes and procedures in a dynamic environment Technical expertise in project and program management along with in depth knowledge of associated methodologies, techniques and approaches Demonstrated interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to establish solid working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, colleagues and partner organizations Excellent analytical, interpretive and problem solving skills to analyze a sizeable amount of data and draw inferences Strong mentoring, coaching and knowledge-sharing skills Out of the box thinking that can draw the connection amongst project, contract, and performance management to execute programs that contribution to cancer control outcome achievement Experience in implementation and management of Agile/Waterfall/Hybrid methodologies Knowledge/experience of health care issues and challenges, cancer care is preferable For full qualifications and job description please visit www.partnershipagainstcancer.ca/work-with-us/ HOW TO APPLY: Please forward CV and cover letter to [email protected] CLOSING DATE: June 20, 2016 The Canadian Partnership Against Cancer is an organization committed to ensuring accessible services and communications to individuals with disabilities.
