Under the ASEAN Framework Agreement of Services, the construction sector has been liberalised under Mode 3 and is earmarked for further liberalisation in the coming years. The objectives of the forum are:• To update the construction sector as well as the construction related services sector stakeholders on trade liberalisation measures and the implications on their businesses; • To deliberate and discuss on the way forward to face the challenges of liberalisation ; and • To collate the relevant views, responses and proposals on enhancing domestic capacity and capability to compete in both the local and global arena . Hence, the forum aims to discuss the acceptance and readiness of the Malaysian construction and construction related services sector towards liberalisation.
