FAQ’s
Will the Stunner grow hard coral or SPS coral?
Depending on configuration and the number of Stunners used, the Stunner can support a wide variety
of animal life. However, we recommend using the Stunner LED for accenting the colors of coral and
using it to supplement other lights.
Can the Stunner be used for planted aquariums?
Absolutely. The 8000K version will be the best for plants.
Why does the 403nm UV Stunner make my water look cloudy?
The 403nm wavelength tends to pick up very small suspended solids (even chemicals in the water.)
The Stunner is not malfunctioning, its simply showing the minute suspended solids in the water column.
Is the Stunner LED UL/CSA approved?
The Stunner LED uses a low voltage UL listed wall transformer.
What maintenance is required on my Stunner LEDs?
Aquarium Lighting maintenance should always include a once per week inspection for salt creep or
corrosion. Wiping the Stunner down with a cloth regularly will ensure maximum life expectancy and
performance.
I have a nano-aquarium, which Stunner LED combination works best for marine & reef aquariums?
We recommend using 8000K/453nm Blue Stunner strips or combining it with our 453nm Blue Stunner
strips for a deeper “blue” look. If your stocking LPS and soft corals like Zoa polyps, the 403nm Violet
Stunner LED strip will also help increase both color and fluorescence in your corals.
Will the Stunner LED strips work overseas?
The Stunner LED strip uses a 100-220V, 24V wall transformer rated at 2.5A. The transformer includes a 120V powercord, however you can usually locate a powercord for your country.
