COMCON Dual Power Supply Unit (PSU 24x5/2) is a professional regulated power
supply unit for communication circuits. Both power supply units are fully independent
and have been accommodated in a single housing. Both power supply units are
designed for 110% rated power output.
Separate AC input connector with built-in fuse has been used for each power supply to
provide excellent protection. Power ON/OFF switches are also independent for both
units. However, load distribution and metering circuits are switch-able to any one of
them to achieve hassle free transfer of load from one unit to other unit.
There are six distribution circuits with individual fuse and indicator for better safety of
equipment. 7th fuse holder has been provided in the unit to carry the spare fuse handy
for any last minute use.
Manual change over switch (heavy-duty toggle switch) has been provided to select any
of the two power supply units in circuit. In the event of failure of one power supply unit,
facility for automatic seamless change over to other power supply unit is available as
option.
The regulator circuit used is fully short circuit protected with active current limiting
circuit. The heat sink and power transistors are overrated to bear 110% load capacity
and practically indestructible. The line and load regulation of both the circuits is in the
range of sub zero range with fast recovery.
The housing is standard 19” rack mount of 4 U height.
