• TYC AFS Headlamp (Adaptive Front Lighting System)
meets SAE FMVSS108, and receives patents for the head
light turning mechanism (TW I340701, CN 777684).

to -40 degree celsius
• Automatic adaptive mechanism, software. circuit
design, and communication interface were all selfdeveloped by TYC. Using the inputs of turning angle and
speed of the vehicle, the software determines the most
desirable lighting type, intensity and scope.
• The outputs of the software are then used to activate
moters that direct the head lamps to the most suitable
area to aid the vision of the driver when the vehicle moves
through curves in the road, to a maximum of 15 degrees
horizontal swivel angle.
- Driving more than 360 thousand
cycles with voltage from 10 V to 15V
• The System also automatically
adjusts the vertical angle of the
headlamp based on the pitch angle
of the vehicle due to loading up to
4 degrees.
• The AFS can be adapted to meet
ECE standards and any additional customer specific requirement

The headlamp complies with ECE (R112 headlamp, R87
