Induction Heating
COBES GmbH proudly presents the new series of Induction Heating Power
Supplies. .
The series covers a power range up to 3 kW with two units of 1.5 kW and 3 kW.
Each power level is available in two versions: 45 Vrms and 90 Vrms output voltage.
These allow usage of low (1-3 turn coils) and high (4 and more turn coils)
impedances for most applications.
19"-Power Supply
The power supply housing is an air cooled 19”- unit for easy installation in 19”racks. It is also available in a tight cabinet (with air or water cooling) for difficult
industrial environments.
The large, background light LCD-Display shows all data and parameters, an easy to
follow menu structure allows the setting of interfaces, set point, maximum values,
9 timers with 16 steps each and an energy controller.
3 controllers for voltage, current and power are ideal for different applications and
protection of your workpiece .
The power supply can be run at mains voltage of 187 – 265 V (50/60 Hz), single
phase.

The power supply provides 4 interfaces:

The "Quick-Set-Up-Interface " with an Emergency-OFF-Interlock, PowerON (switch or key/wiper) und Set-Point via external potentiometer
Manual via front panel (only jumper on Emergency-OFF-Interlock)
25-pin. Sub-D-connector with main analog and digital signals
And a 9-pin.-Sub-D-Interface to load up new Firmware.
Optional an additional Interface (also after installation) can be installed.
These interface-cards are available as Profibus, Interbus-S, DeviceNet,
RS 232/485 and others.
In the separate, water cooled tank circuit one or two capacitors can be installed.
These capacitors are available in fine steps which allow to match a wide range of
workpieces and materials to the system.
The frequency range is 50 – 500 kHz.
The tank circuit is connected to the power supply with
rigid industrial connectors type Harting (standard 3 m,
longer cables on request).
The tank circuit got temperature- and water flowswitches as well as short circuit and frequency
monitoring.
The induction coils (Inductors) are connected to the tank
circuit with a combined screw locked connector for water
and current. Through a separate lid the capacitors can be
exchanged easily.
The small size of (L x W x H) 300 x 200 x 150 mm allows
installation in or close to the system/maschine.
