Silver Series Component Family at EH Expo

State-of-the-Art Noise Filtration and Power Protection for
Audio/Video Systems
PETALUMA, CA – Feb. 21, 2003 – Panamax, the leading manufacturer of
power conditioning products, will highlight the new optional front
silver replacement bezels for the existing MAX® AV Component line
during EH Expo Spring 2003 from February 26 to March 1 at the Orange
County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. The MAX® A/V components
provide enhanced control and the ultimate in protection and noisefiltration for Home Theater Systems. Retailing at $49 and $39 each
depending on the model, the bezels will be available in March 2003 to
further enhance the aesthetics of the MAX® A/V Component family.

The MAX® Audio/Video Series Components provide superior protection and
EMI/RFI filtration for audio/video and home theater systems. The
optional silver bezels will be available for the following MAX® A/V
models: M5510, M5500, M5300, M4400, and M4310. The MAX® 5510
ACRegenerator, offers a choice of either balanced power or isolated
power and is a must for the high-end system with high definition
television. The MAX® 5500 ACRegenerator features isolated power plus
sophisticated filtration circuitry and power monitoring to enhance
audio & video. The MAX® 5300 is the perfect solution for noise. It
provides
balanced

power
conditioning
and
isolation
between
receptacle banks. The MAX® 4400 offers a higher current capacity (20
amp) than the rest of the MAX® A/V components (15 amp), and is
designed to provide the best filtration while allowing amplifiers and
powered subwoofers to perform at their full potential. As an added
feature, it includes the new 10’ Pinnacle High Performance AC Power
Cord designed to minimize noise contamination. The MAX® 4310 features
a stylish, compact design, perfect for any system. Optional bezels for
the M5510, M5500 and M5300 will retail at $49 each, while the ones for
the M4400 and M4310 will retail at $39 each.

MAX® A/V Components Comprehensive Peak Performance Features:
Isolation Transformer – M5510 & M5500
Pure, clean power is obtained by using the isolation transformer to
regenerate the AC current. The incoming power feeds the isolation
transformer’s
primary
windings
and
is
regenerated
(through
electromagnetic induction) as clean power on the isolated secondary
windings. The outlets are connected to the secondary windings, which
have no physical connection to the primary windings. This is True
Isolation! The M5510 also provides the ability to switch the Isolation
Transformer’s output mode from Isolated to Balanced power to further
match the system’s needs.
Balanced Double L Filtration Circuitry – M5510, M5500 & M5300
These circuits are designed to eliminate the AC contamination that is
most detrimental to the performance of analog or video components like
stereo receivers, VCRs or televisions. The filters are carefully
engineered to provide power filtration and inter-component “noise
isolation” for both “common mode” (line/neutral-to-ground) and “normal
mode” (line-to-neutral) EMI/RFI. This means that high-frequency
interference will be drastically reduced not only from the incoming
power but also from equipment plugged into the other outlet banks,
regardless of what “mode” it occurs in. Even equipment with
ungrounded, 2-blade plugs, receives clean power!
High Current Circuitry – M5510, M5500, M5300 & M4400
The high-current outlets allow amplifiers and powered subwoofers to
work to their full potential. When the movie thunders with a terrific
explosion or when the music reaches a climatic crescendo, an amplifier
has to rapidly draw large amounts of current to replenish its
capacitors. Traditional line conditioners impede this current draw, in
effect, starving an amplifier and resulting in a flat, dead sound. The
High-Current Outlets provide clean, filtered power to amplifiers but
have no current limiting components to impede performance.
SurgeGate Plus™ Circuitry – M5510, M5500, M5300, M4400 & M4310
Constantly monitors the AC line voltage for unsafe conditions such as
prolonged overvoltages and undervoltages (brownouts). If it senses an
unsafe condition, it will automatically disconnect the equipment from
the power to protect it from damage. Once the voltage returns to a
safe level, the power to the equipment will automatically be
reconnected. This smart power protection technology sets Panamax power
conditioning apart, acting as a gate to prevent unsafe voltages from
damaging sensitive electronic equipment.
Protect or Disconnect™ Circuitry – M5510, M5500, M5300, M4400 & M4310
Safeguards equipment from all surges. In the event of a catastrophic
surge, such as lightning, it completely disconnects AC power to the
connected equipment.
