Atlas AF1000 Friabilator
The Atlas AF1000 Friabilator is designed to meet the
specifications in the USP/EP and other pharmacopoeias. The unit is
supplied with two drums as standard – these can be mounted
individually or together on to the front of the unit. This gives better
visibility than side mounted drums.
The unit is easy to program using the alphanumeric key pad. The test may be
set to a specified number of rotations or a fixed time. The speed at which
the drum rotates is fixed at 25rpm
When the test begins the drum automatically moves into the load
position and the weight of the tablets is entered.
At the end of the test, the unit will automatically tip the tablets into
the receiving tray. The tablets should then be carefully brushed to
remove any powder then reweighed. This value is entered and the the
percentage weight loss calculated. This value along with the other test
parameters may be printed on a suitable printer.
The unit is supplied with a foldable leg that enables a test to be run at 10°
as per the USP if required.
