The DLA12amp compact Digital Line Array
is a self-powered long-throw system
designed for large to medium scale sound
reinforcement applications.
The three-way active, full range loudspeaker
system consists of 1x12inch low frequency
cone driver, 2x6.5inch mid frequency cone
drivers and 2x1inch exit, 2inch voice coil
compression drivers mounted in patented
Audio-Performance wave guide.
The DLA12amp incorporates a module of 4
channels class T power amplifiers capable
of delivering more than 2’900W RMS, with a
DSP board managing Filtering, EQ, Delays,
Excursion Protections and Algorithms.
The groups of DLA12amp can be stacked or
flown with a proprietary Easy-Fly® rigging
system included in each cabinet. The physical angles can be preset before flying the
system, from 0° to 5° in 9 positions using the
front Easycame®
A standard Firewire connector allows to create ad-hoc networks with the help of dedicated software. Available optionally an
EtherSound embedded RJ-45 port adds networking capabilities providingbi-directional
control and monitoring data in real time
which eliminates the
need for separate cables for the control and
monitoring of equipment. The entire network
can be configured, monitored and controlled
from a single PC and EasyUser software.
The DLA12amp is designed to achieve
coherent cylindrical wave front with a vertical
dispersion which can be remotely sculptured
by complex algorithms using presets or our
EasyUser® software.
Thus depending on the number of cabinets,
flown or stacked, with or without adjacent
angles, the vertical directivity can be remotely controlled from 15° to 60°, giving full freedom to the sound engineer. The horizontal
dispersion remains constant at 90°, independently on the number of cabinets.
The frequency response of a single
DLA12amp is from 55Hz to 18KHz +/- 3dB.
The maximum SPL is 132dB cont. & 138dB
peak.
A minimum of four units is necessary to
achieve continuous coherent cylindrical
wave front .
A proprietary Bumper, Patch panel and
Cables are available, enabling standardization throughout an European rental companies network.

Vertical Acoustical Coverage for Various Splay and Number of Cabinets

The vertical coverage could be adjusted by setting
the splay between adjacent cabinet from 0° to 5°
and - or - by computer using dedicated software
throught the Ethersound Network. The horizontal
directivity remains constant at 90°, independently on the number of cabinets.
The examples show different configuration for 4, 6 and 8 DLA12-amp, with splay angles
of 0° and 5° given and shows a maximum of 90° vertical with 8 x DLA12-amp.

The DLA12-amp loudspeaker system uses a proprietary high frequency wave guide which assure for line array performance up to the high frequency range. It uses two 2 inch diaphragm compression drivers crossfiring in a parabolic reflector, which converts the two point sources in a single source with plane wave caracteristics. This principle
(patent pending) uses no air compression for best distortion performances. Acoustical path from throat to mouth does
not include any rough angles or discontinuities which provides optimal transmission of very high frequencies.
