Trichord’s brand new ‘Dino Mk2’

Trichord Research have released a brand new version
of the ever popular Dino phono stage the - ‘Dino Mk2’.
This unit replaces the original Dino which as of January
2008 is no longer in production.
Product options remain exactly as before:

Dino Mk2 with in-line PSU

Dino Mk2 with ‘Dino+’ PSU
•
‘Dino+’ only (for upgrading from in-line PSU)
•
Dino Mk2 with ’Never Connected’ PSU
•
‘Never Connected’ PSU only (for upgrading from either In-line PSU or ‘Dino+’ PSU)
•
High Performance Power Interconnect Lead (for upgrading from ‘Standard’ lead)

Although the new Dino Mk2 looks virtually identical to its predecessor, many changes have
been made:

Improved voltage regulators using high specification Panasonic capacitors
Improved ground plane layout for even lower levels of hum
New generation input devices giving lower noise and improved sound quality
Deeper sound stage and wider dynamics
All capacitors removed from signal path
New high performance output circuitry
DC servo to ensure no dc voltage on output
Aluminium base plate for rigidity and extra screening
The Dino Mk2 is an extremely user friendly phono stage enabling options for a very wide range
of Moving Magnet and Moving Coil cartridges. The user can adjust both gain and cartridge
loading from easily accessible switches on the underside of the unit.
Although the basic Dino Mk2 complete with in-line power supply sounds really good, a
substantial upgrade path is provided. First, change the in-line PSU for a ‘Dino+’ PSU to give a
considerable sonic improvement all round. Then change the standard power interconnect
lead for the High Performance Power Interconnect Lead - again a surprising improvement for a
lead just carrying dc current. The real icing on the cake comes from our patented power supply
technology in the form of the ‘Never ConnectedTM’power supply. This reduces mains noise to
very low levels and allows the phono amplifier to give of it’s very best.
110V and 230V versions of power supply are available.
