Genus: Cordyline
Species: australis

low maintenance. Coral will take part shade to full sun.
Soil: Cordylines can thrive in a variety of soil
conditions, but this plant will grow best in well-drained
soil rich in organic matter.
Water: Average water needs - water regularly during
hot periods, but do not over water.
Foliage & Flowering Features: Cordyline ‘Coral’ has
spectacular multi-coloured foliage, with leaves of a
rich red, maroon and greenish-brown. The strappy
leaves erupt from a central stem, giving a vibrant
architectural shape.
Origin: New Zealand
Uses: A great landscaping plant to feature in the
garden, on the patio or in the home. The interesting
foliage colour enlivens outdoor settings and brings a
calm, resort feel to the garden when surrounding
palms. Decorate your home by planting one in a stylish
pot indoors.
Maintenance: From the second year onwards, prune
in November to keep the plant compact and bushy.
Remove any leaves that have browned over winter to
keep the plant looking fresh. Fertilise in September,
December and March with an organic fertiliser.
