HOSTA ‘Tattoo’
Origin: Selected by American plantsman Tony Avent of Plant Delights Nursery
Species: Hosta hybrid
Protection Status: US Plant Patent 11,603. Canadian COPF registered.
Characteristics:
'Tattoo' is a revolutionary sport of ‘Little Aurora’. Foliage is tri-colored. Small rounded, bright gold leaves with a wide
green border. Each leaf is “tattooed” with the outline of a dark green maple leaf in the center. Lavender flowers on 10”
scapes in late spring. Truly unique! Specimen plant or shady border.
Hardiness: USDA Zone 3
Bloom: Standard lavender host spike of about 10”
Foliage: Small, round, bright gold with green border.
Habit: Medium growth rate: 10” in height and 18” wide in flower
Propagation: Tissue culture and divisions. License required for propagation.
Culture: Partial sun to light shade. Fertile, moist, well-drained soils.
