Although it's not a true annual, this fast-growing plant can be expected to behave as an annual in our climate if left outdoors over the winter, usually needing replacement the following year. This annual bedding plant does best in full sun to partial shade. It requires an evenly moist well-drained soil for optimal growth, but will die in standing water. It is not particular as to soil type or pH. It is highly tolerant of urban pollution and will even thrive in inner city environments. Consider applying a thick mulch around the root zone in winter to protect it in exposed locations or colder zones. This plant can be propagated by cuttings. This is a selected variety of a species not originally from North America. Randy’ sPer enni al s&Wat erGar dens 523W.Cr oganSt r eet Lawr enc evi l l e,GA30046 770. 822. 0676
