Position Full sun to part shade Care Requires high humidity and frequent watering. Lipstick Palm Cyrtostachys renda is probably the most ornamental of palms. The Lipstick Palm as it is known grows in a small clump to about 6m in cultivation. The leaves of the fronds are a dark green with the petioles and crownshaft being a bright scarlet. It grows in a clumping form and spreads to about 2.5m. Small green flowers appear and are followed by black fruits about 2cm long. This is one of the most colourful looking palms you can find and will look great in any garden. It is slow growing and well worth the investment to buy a larger size plant.
