Attendance Policy
We are working to fit this Middle School Production in to the school calendar. After discussions with the athletic
department and administration, this time between the fall and winter sports seasons seemed best.
As a result, we only have 5 weeks to produce the show; therefore the commitment is over shorter period,
but more involved during the 5 weeks. This rehearsal schedule is not very flexible.
 Attendance is a must!
 An excused absence should be communicated in advance—except where sickness is involved.
Excused absences: sickness, funeral, prearranged medical appointment, TCA fall sport tournament
 Ensemble A - must be able to attend all rehearsals (save a sick day)
 Ensemble B - more flexibility to work with schedule….still need to be in attendance!
*If you have some schedule conflicts, consider Ensemble B as a better option.
 Missing more than 3 excused rehearsals will result in a consequence such as removal from a scene.
 Please list conflicts in designated section of sign up form. We need clear communication so we can
cast effectively.
*
Financial Commitments

$50 Show Fee: due at the full cast meeting, Friday 10/2
This goes against his/her t-shirt, script, some meals during production, water, and some production elements.

Shoes: Saturday, 10/24
Will be assigned once know role – may have in closet or can thrift for needed shoes.
Pirates will need tall “pirate-like” boots (black, grey or brown).

Costume Pieces??: due by Saturday, 10/24
May need to thrift for a few generic items; or raid your closet (i.e. dark pants, black sweat pants…)

$25 Patron Support: due by Monday, 11/26
Each cast member is responsible for raising a minimum in patron support to help offset production costs
(sets, costumes, makeup, hairpieces, programs, tech rentals, needed set items, dinners, etc).
We can offer several suggestions to help students reach this goal, as we do not necessarily expect this to
come only from parents.
All patron funds are tax deductible gifts to the TCA Fine Arts Dept & support this specific play.
Names of donors/businesses will appear in the program.
