Blackfish Resort LLC is extremely pleased to have received a letter of interest from Ocean House Management
LLC, regarding their desire to staff, open and manage all operations for the Blackfish Resort & Spa as a
premiere luxury destination facility. This is significant for a number of reasons, some outlined below, the most
important being the President and Managing Director, Daniel A. Hostettler, CHA.
Daniel A. Hostettler is a member of the Forbes Ratings Advisory Committee, the
Treasurer for Relais & Châteaux North America, Mexico, Caribbean, and was named
US Hotelier of the Year in 2011.
Daniel's distinguished career in international hospitality includes the development
and management of hotels, restaurants, residential components and private clubs;
including overseeing leading landmark hotel and resort properties across the United

Properties Managed by Ocean House Management LLC
Ocean House: A Relais & Châteaux member, the property is
13 acres of oceanfront landscape with 49 guestrooms and 14
Signature Suites, overlooking a 650-foot private white-sand
beach. The Ocean House is one of only 76 Forbes Five Star
properties in the world; holds a separate Five Star designation
for its spa (one of only 41 in the world); and is a AAA Five
Diamond award winner. It is the only Five Star and/or Five
Diamond property on the New England Seaboard.
The OH! Spa is a 12,000-square-foot destination spa is the only
Forbes Five Star spa in Rhode Island, and among only 41 spas in
the world to achieve the Five-Star rating.
Weekapaug Inn
This hotel has a coveted Forbes 4-star rating and is a Relais &
Châteaux member. The property has 27 bedrooms plus 4 twobedroom suites and is very similar to the operation that will be
conducted at Blackfish Resort & Spa in Point Roberts, WA.
Watch Hill Inn
This recently-opened property is the newest coastline jewel,
which quickly attained the highly prestigious Relais & Chateaux
moniker for world class resorts and hotels worldwide. Their
suites are about 100 yards away from Ocean House and the
concept is very similar to future expansion plans for the villas
at Blackfish Resort & Spa. This is yet another reason we are
excited and honored at the prospect of working with the team
at Ocean House Management LLC.
