ctor Pawan Kalyan has confirmed that he has been
approached to star in the Telugu remake of Tamil
blockbuster Vedalam. He said that he has considered the
project and it’s on the cards.
“It’s true that I’ve been approached with the offer. However, the
script has to be tweaked for Telugu audience and it’s going to
take some time. Currently, I can’t confirm when the project will go
on the floors,” Kalyan told IANS.
Vedalam, which featured Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar, was one of
the biggest hits of last year.
Kalyan also has a project with filmmaker S.J. Suryah in the
pipeline.
“The official
announcement will be
made soon,” he said.

ctress Rakul Preet Singh is said to have been
approached to play the part of a female protagonist
in filmmaker Mysskin’s Tamil thriller Thupparivaalan,
which stars Vishal Krishna.
“Rakul has been approached. However, she is not yet
finalised. It’s going to take a few more weeks before the
makers will finalise on the heroine,” a source from the film’s
unit told IANS.
Tipped to be an investigative thriller, the film marks the first
time collaboration of Mysskin and Vishal. Rakul’s last Tamil
film was the romantic-drama Yennamo Yedho, which was
released in 2014. Since then she has been busy working on
Tollywood projects.
She currently awaits the release of Telugu actioner Sarrainodu.

ormer Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddin’s son Asad
a.k.a Abbas is all set to make his cinematic debut with
upcoming Telugu entertainer Iddariki Kottegaa, which is likely
to be launched soon.
In a statement, the makers have
revealed that they are in the process of
finalising the rest of the cast.
The project, which will be directed
by K. Suresh Babu, will see Abbas
romance three heroines.
“Two heroines have already been
finalised. The hunt for the third leading
lady is underway, and as soon as she
is signed, the film will be officially
launched,” a source from the film’s unit
told IANS.
Tipped to be a romantic drama, the
film’s launch will be attended by
Azharuddin.
