acts new to Theatre
in the Park
Thomas Ashby – An emerging talent
and prolific writer, Thomas released
his debut album, the iTunes featured
Cache, last year. His passionate and
engaging folk, blues and jazz is sure to
win you over.
New Old World are an upcoming
English Indie-Rock band, making a real
name for themselves in the local
music scene. They have headlined and
supported at numerous venues
including Glastonbury Stage,
Rochester Castle, Lees Cliff Hall,
played main stage at many festivals
and have been played on BBC Radio.
The band launched their debut studio
EP, Unattended Adolescence in
March 2016.
Electric Folk have a modern pop/folk
crossover sound. If you like Mumford
& Sons, Passenger, Jake Bugg, Ben
Howard, James Bay etc then this is the
perfect Live Band for you! There will
be superb cover versions of hits from
the 60s to the present, all performed
with a unique modern folk twist.
This event will have a bbq running
throughout the evening, a bar selling
real ales and a special cocktail bar.

We are conjuring up a summer
carnival atmosphere with a Caribbean
twist. The first half features No Limit
Street Band, a London based 8-piece
brass and percussion outfit with raw
and energetic covers of pop and party
music. Then get ready to party
Caribbean style with David Brewster
and the Faze 3 Band performing
popular Bob Marley, UB 40 classic
reggae hits, also popular Caribbean
dance tracks, such as Hot Hot Hot…
Follow The Leader, etc...There will be a
Caribbean street food vendor serving
up some amazing curry, frittas and
other tropical treats. Dress up carnival
style and enter into the spirit!

The perfect place to enjoy theatre
and live music in the open air
A charming amphitheatre set within 14 acres of beautiful
grounds at Strode Park in the picturesque village of Herne,
located on the A291 between Herne Bay and Canterbury
in Kent. The theatre has seating capacity for 300 people
and has been purpose-built to offer total access for
people with disabilities.
Our facilities include a picnic area, free parking and a
licensed bar selling real ale. We also have hot food available
at most performances. This is an ideal family venue and
group bookings are welcome, with discounts available for
groups of ten or more.
The theatre is run entirely by volunteers and any profits from
ticket sales, raffles and refreshments are donated towards
the work of Strode Park Foundation, a registered charity
providing vital care services for people with disabilities.
In case of circumstances beyond its control, Theatre in the
Park reserves the right to cancel or change any performance.
In the event of a performance being cancelled before the
start, tickets will be valid for a rescheduled performance or
money refunded. If cancellation occurs during a performance
there will be no refund.
