His passionate and engaging folk, blues and jazz is sure to win you over. New Old World are an upcoming English Indie-Rock band, making a real name for themselves in the local music scene. They have headlined and supported at numerous venues including Glastonbury Stage, Rochester Castle, Lees Cliff Hall, played main stage at many festivals and have been played on BBC Radio. The band launched their debut studio EP, Unattended Adolescence in March 2016. Electric Folk have a modern pop/folk crossover sound. There will be superb cover versions of hits from the 60s to the present, all performed with a unique modern folk twist. The perfect place to enjoy theatre and live music in the open air A charming amphitheatre set within 14 acres of beautiful grounds at Strode Park in the picturesque village of Herne, located on the A291 between Herne Bay and Canterbury in Kent. The theatre has seating capacity for 300 people and has been purpose-built to offer total access for people with disabilities. Our facilities include a picnic area, free parking and a licensed bar selling real ale. We also have hot food available at most performances. This is an ideal family venue and group bookings are welcome, with discounts available for groups of ten or more. The theatre is run entirely by volunteers and any profits from ticket sales, raffles and refreshments are donated towards the work of Strode Park Foundation, a registered charity providing vital care services for people with disabilities.
