ANNOUNCING Mercy Regional Cancer Center PRESTIGIOUS COMMENDATION Mercy’s Regional Cancer Center has received a prestigious Three-Year Approval with Commendation from the Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons (ACoS). James Renz, M.D., Surgical Specialist at Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa P.C. Chairperson of Mercy Medical Center’s Cancer Committee, says, “I am pleased that the American College of Surgeons has recognized Mercy Regional Cancer Center’s excellence and awarded approval with commendation. This national recognition substantiates our belief that patients and their families can receive quality cancer care close to home. Movva, MD Endocrinologist Joslin Diabetes Center Mercy Health Plaza Dr. Movva came to Mercy Medical Center’s Joslin Diabetes Center from the Joslin Diabetes Center at the State University of New York (SUNY), Syracuse. “Bringing an endocrinologist to the Joslin Diabetes Center is one more step that Mercy is taking in its commitment to care for patients with diabetes in this community. We can now offer our patients a full spectrum of care,” says Lacey Day, Manager of the Joslin Diabetes Center at Mercy Health Plaza.
