The uses of will
Will is used
1 to express sudden intention made at the moment of
speaking.
The phone is ringing, so I will answer it.

future.
Tomorrow it will be Friday.

Present Continuous as future simple
The Present Continuous for the future is used:

to express a planned future arrangement.
We’re meeting at the cinema at 7.30.
What are you doing tonight?

They’re going to Istanbul on Tuesday.
He’s coming home next week.

Sometimes there is little or no difference between going to
and Present Continuous to express a future arrangement.
I’m having dinner with Paul tomorrow.
