2D+ Cell Model Instructions!
!
!
Due Date: __________
Construct a two-dimensional (2D) model of either a plant or animal cell.
Show all parts listed below and number all parts!
Guidelines:
• Use textbook or Internet resources to identify cell structures.
• Use large poster paper to draw the cell and its organelles.
• The drawing must be large and organelles clearly visible from a distance.
• Use materials such as: play-dough, string, buttons, pipe cleaners, beads, and yarn to give your
2D poster some 3D effects.
• Make each organelle a different color for easy identification.
• In a large font, TYPE the name of each organelle & attach to the poster. Connect the organelle’s name
to the structure.
• Include a typed table/key attached at the bottom of your poster with three columns: Color, Organelle Name,
& Organelle Function. Label the key and the poster with the type of cell and your name.
• Make sure all materials are securely attached to the model. Check your spelling!
• Location of organelles within the cell must be shown correctly.
• Identify your model cell as plant or animal using a label.
The model you choose to create must include the following organelles:

- Put your name and class period at the top of the page.
- Beneath the heading, label your key plant or animal cell.
- Use textbook/internet resources to research the function of cell organelles.
Creativity and Neatness count in this project!!
