Investigation: Light Puzzle Your name AP Physics 2 Instructor Scott McComb 16 Dec 2015 Insert your name. Delete this box before printing Purpose: Complex circuits are frequently useful circuits. By providing a specific voltage and specific current at a specific location, the output of devices can be controlled: motors, user interfaces, lights, etc. Using simple materials like batteries, wires, switches, and bulbs, one can create electrical puzzles, challenging the viewer to infer the layout of the circuit based on circuit output (e.g., relative brightness of bulbs). Light puzzle: We created the following light puzzle. Make a circuit diagram of your light puzzle. Use appropriate conventions. Include a photograph of your completed puzzle Delete this box before printing. Fig 1. Circuit diagram of light puzzle Fig 2. Photograph of light puzzle Modify this table as necessary to match the number of switches and bulbs in your circuit We anticipated the following results. INPUT Switch Position Light A 1 1 2 2 1 2 Expected results Table 1. Delete this box before printing. OUTPUT Light B Light C Last name AP Physics 2 Investigation: Light Puzzle Solving others’ puzzles. Modify this table as necessary to match the number of switches and bulbs in this circuit We investigated XXX and YYY’s puzzle. UTPUT INPUT ODelete this box before printing.
