Introduction
The best veterinary practices are able to connect the latest advances in treatment with
compassionate communication and teamwork. The challenge has been converting cuttingedge medical knowledge into action within a veterinary practice. Our unique conferences
train the entire veterinary team on the conditions confronted every day.
We combine board-certified specialists with management experts to bond medical knowledge
with in-clinic know-how. Our team-centered weekend conferences are divided into themes
including pharmacology, business management, dermatology, behavior, surgery, dentistry,
anesthesia and analgesia, rehabilitation, ophthalmology, feline medicine, internal medicine
and emergence medicine. We will have different speakers for each conference.
VAPS conferences are pushing the boundaries of traditional veterinary education by allowing
attendees to choose topics and submit real-time questions and clinical challenges, making
each seminar responsive and adaptive to attendees. After attending a VAPS seminar, the
entire veterinary team will be more knowledgeable, capable, and confident confronting both
routine and complex medical topics and treatments.
The weekend in Atlanta on February 20-21st focuses on inovative ideas for GI diseases,
new approaches to liver and pancreatic disease, new drug therapy and pharmacology
controversies, along with anesthetic protocols and undestanding and managing acute and
chronic pain syndromes along with new practical ideas for rehabilitation of sick
animals. .These specialties blend together as the most effective treatments in anesthesia and
analgesia always includes optimum drug therapy. We will emphasize both targeted
therapies as well as symptomatic and generalized therapy and eagerly compare the two.
We anticipate this will peak your interest in learning new drug mechanisms and new
practical techniques. This is the most up to date, cutting-edge therapies and ideas
concentrated in one veterinary source and geared to practicing veterinarians. We will also
have staff lectures given at these conferences....so do include your staff and vet techs to get
the lastest cutting edge therapies in both pharmacology, cellular medicine, GI diseases and
cholestatic liver diseases and the best new information in managing acute and chronic pain
and the newest anesthetic protocols .
Our next regional seminar is in Chicago, on April 2-3 2016. We will have different speakers
and invite any attendees to fly up to Chicago with us for more exciting forward thinking
information from our experts and practicing veterinarians from around the courntry. Future
dates and topics will be forthcoming. The locations or our conferences are always at a
nearby airport hotel just a shuttle away from the airport. Drive up or fly in .learn something
new and useful and very practical, stay over, fly out next day. Costs of overnight hotel
usually run around $100-$125 night. Fly in specials from Chicago or any of our large
regional cities and show up for any weekend with the Veterinary Associations of Progressive
Speaks .
