We will emphasize both targeted therapies as well as symptomatic and generalized therapy and eagerly compare the two. We anticipate this will peak your interest in learning new drug mechanisms and new practical techniques. Speaker's Information for Atlanta Conference Adam Honeckman, DVM, DACVIM Dr Adama Honeckman graduated from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1992 and completed an internship at Purdue in 1993. After 4 years of general practice in the Chicago area, he was accepted for a small animal internal medicine residency at the prestigious Animal Medical Center in New York City. During his residency, Dr. Honeckman developed a special interest in ultrasonography and endoscopy. After completion of his residency, he started his own mobile internal medicine practice in the Orlando area. Since 2008, Dr. Honeckman has also been an internal medicine consultant for the Veterinary Information Network. Lester Mandelker DVM DABVP, Fellow AAVPT Dr. Lester Mandelker...co founder of VAPS..is a practicing veterinarian for over 40 yrs. He is board certified in feline and canine medicine, (ABVP) and a Fellow of the::American Academy of Veterinary Pharmacology and Therapeutics”. He is the pharmacology consultant and editor for the Veterinary Information Network. ( VIN.com) He edited and co- edited 3 books on nutraceuticals, antioxidants, and free radicals and mitochondrial dysfunction ( VM/SAC 2004, 2008) as well as Springer's Science Humana Press on “Studies on Veterinary Medicine 2012.. Dr. Stein is also Executive Director of the Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia Support Group which is a website with resources for veternarians to promote high standards of patient care. Dr. Stein has a career long passion for improving veterinary anesthesia and analgesia in general practice. He also operates the The Animal Pain Mangement Center along with the Amhesrt Small Animal Hospital. The Pain Management Center sees cases by referral for treatment of chronic pain, pain from acute injuries, neurologic problems, post surgical pain and cancer pain.
