What IS Persuasive Writing?
Persuasion takes many forms. It is everywhere
in our daily lives, from commercials to
billboards to cartoons to newspaper stories.
Often, it is used in writing.
Persuasive writing is any type of writing
that attempts to persuade us to adopt a point
of view, agree with an opinion, take an
action, or form a belief. It is any type of
ASSIGNMENT - DUE THURSDAY
Bring TWO examples of arguments to class.

an item with a price; must contain an

A fact is a piece of information that can be
confirmed or verified. An opinion, on the
other hand, is simply a point of view that
someone holds. It is a fact that some
tomatoes are red. It is an opinion that
tomatoes taste disgusting.
