Three-Day Food Record
Lesson Overview
In this lesson, you will learn how to track and analyze your dietary intake. You will enter your
daily food selections for 3 days using SuperTracker’s Food Tracker feature and analyze your
average intake of food groups and calories using SuperTracker’s Food Groups & Calories
Report. Lastly, you will complete the Three-Day Food Record questions to reflect on your
experience tracking and analyzing your foods.
Part I: Three-Day Food Record
A. Directions: List everything that you eat and drink for the next three days. Be sure to include information about
the proportion size. An example has been provided below.

B. Food Tracker
Now that you have tracked your food and beverage intake for 3 days, you will enter this information into
SuperTracker’s Food Tracker feature.




PART II: Food Groups & Calorie Report Questions

Directions:




Run a Food Groups & Calories Report for those 3 days, and use your report to answer the questions below.

Select-Food Groups & Calories
Run a Food Groups & Calories Report by (1) selecting the date range and (2) clicking the “Create a Report”
button.

Each food item in the report is divided into three sections (1) Target, (2) Average Eaten, and (3) Status

You may drill down on an individual item by clicking the plus sign icon to the left of the name. For example,
click the plus sign next to “dark green” to find examples of dark green vegetables.
