Authority of the holy books
It is important to remember that Muslims believe the only holy book in Islam which
has not been distorted or changed is the Qur’an as this was God’s final message.
Therefore, whilst the holy books are useful for learning about the revelations of
God they do not have the same authority as the Qur’an.
