What is SQL Object Level Recovery Native?
SQL Object Level Recovery Native is a standalone tool that gives you the flexibility
to recover individual database objects from native SQL Server 2008, 2005 and
2000 backup files instead of having to restore full backups.
Why use SQL Object Level Recovery Native?
In a disaster recovery scenario, time is short. If you
only want to recover a single object from a backup,
restoring a full backup can potentially take hours of
time and consume considerable disk space.
Performing object level recovery and inserting the
object(s) into the relevant database offers the
advantage of potentially huge time and disk-space
savings.
For maximum flexibility, SQL Object Level
Recovery Native is licensed per user rather than
per server instance. This means that you can
restore database objects to any database, on any
server, across your entire enterprise.
Technical specifications
SQL Object Level Recovery Native recovers objects
from SQL Server backup files created by SQL Server
2000, 2005 and 2008. You cannot restore objects to a
version of SQL Server that is earlier than the version of Select the database objects you want to recover and click Recover
Objects.

automatically. Service Pack 2 is supported but not required.
