• Male, 27 yrs old
• Progressive swelling of mandible
• 36 is mobile
Patient Condition and Background
• Lymphadenopathy in neck
• Fibromyxoma diagnosed
• X-ray
Fibromyxoma
• Benign tumour1
• Young male adults
• Odontogenic origin2
Treatment Options
• Very large in size (approx 12cm3)
• Curettage not considered2
• Surgical removal only option
Treatment Plans
• Oral surgery
• No growth found in maxilla
Dental Technology Plans
• Two choices are available:
- Appliance with three titanium
wires and acrylic condyle
- Titanium mandible
Appliance with 3 titanium wires and
acrylic condyle
