WHAT TO BRING SUGGESTED CHECKLIST
Pack light! You'll be toting your own luggage around at the airports and hotels, so bring
only what you need.
UPDATE: You may check one additional bag, if desired, but make sure essential items that you need are
NOT in this additional bag in case the bag arrives late or is lost by the airline. THERE MAY BE AN
ADDITIONAL COST FOR CHECKED BAGS AS DETERMINED BY AIRLINE. WHEN YOU
CHECK IN, CHECK FOR CURRENT BAGGAGE CHECK POLICY FOR YOUR FLIGHT.
Small carry-on that will fit under the seat in front of you (back pack or oversized
purse):














Cell phone (and list of important numbers placed in phone and written down)
Travel Pillow
sketchbook/journal
Raincoat and/or umbrella
Medicine (including written prescriptions)
Tour Itinerary ( in case customs ask for it)
Toothbrush, travel size mouth wash, toothpaste (Check tsa.gov for current security requirements.)
Travel-Safe shoulder purse or cash belt ( money, passport, cell phone, airline ticket
Hairbrush /comb
Scarf and gloves (to protect from weather, if necessary)
Contact lens case/glasses case (to sleep comfortably on the plane)
ATM card (Call the bank prior to departure to alert them of the trip; foreign purchases sometimes
result in a hold on bank accounts.)
Personal credit card (foreign purchases sometimes result in a hold on cards; notify your company)
At least $50 converted to foreign currency of the first country that you’re visiting (Euro)
20-22 inch rolling carry-on or duffle bag that will fit in over-head compartment;
suggested items below are assuming you are also checking an additional bag:

Comfortable walking shoes (if not already wearing them)

Socks and underwear (3 -4 pair)

Shirts (short and long sleeved) (2 or 3)

Long pants/long skirts/jeans (according to weather forecast) enough for 3 days

Pajamas

Lightweight jacket, environmental under garments, or warm-up top (rather than bulky sweatshirts)

Foldable Jacket (If you are not already wearing it)

Disposable wash clothes

Personal hygiene supplies

An OUTLET converter for charging phone;

Camera with extra batteries or chargers (Batteries can be expensive abroad.)
Additional Checked bag:

Long pants/long skirts/jeans/leggings (according to weather forecast)

Shirts (short and long sleeved)

Socks and underwear (6 additional pair)

Shampoo/conditioner (TSA required sizes)

Soap (TSA required sizes)

Disposable wash clothes (Most hotels in Europe only place towels in rooms)

Deodorant (TSA required sizes)

A VOLTAGE CONVERTER IF ABSOLUTELY MUST BRING A NON- DIGITAL HAIR DRYER OR
NON-DIGITAL CURLING TOOL, WHICH IS HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED.

Bring something to tie hair up or CAP to cover hair with on “bad hair” days

Comfortable walking shoes (additional pair in case one pair gets wet or damaged)

Sunscreen

Spare set of contact lenses/glasses (if applicable)
